Yang Ming Park is located in the north of Beitou. Yang Ming Shan was called Tsaoshan (Grass Mountain) during Japanese occupation of Taiwan, because it was covered with grass and seldom visited. After World War II, the KMT government renamed the mountain Yang Ming Shan and built a park here.

A tour of the central motion picture corporation's cultural city is like shuttling back and forth through a time tunnel one moment. Your with dinosaurs during prehistoric times.....and the next. In the contemporary motion picture era. The trip spans millions of years, and is both real and unreal. During your journey, you may meet movie stars, who will not only pose for pictures with you, but sign autographs as proof of your trip wonders never cease on this journey.

About a 15-minute walk from Guandu MRT Station is the Guandu Temple. The temple, first built in 1661, is dedicated to Matzu, goddess of the sea. Beside the temple is a kind of Buddhist chapel dedicated to the Buddhist goddess of mercy, Guanyin of Thousand Arms and Eyes.

Maokong is located in the southwest of Gatou Mountain in Wunshan District of Taipei outskirts. It is facing the shield of more than 500 meters high. It is said that tea farmers from southern China came her to open teahouses. Later, the teahouses declined and customers no long came. The domesticated cats ran away and thus the place was called "Maokong".

The Presidential Office Building is located on Chungching S. Road and facing Ketagelan Boulevard. On the back it is Bo Ai Road, on the left it is Bauching Road, and on the right it is Gueiyang Street. The Presidential Building is close to Taipei Main Station and Hsimending.

For many people, vegging out on the beach equals making the pilgrimage down to Kenting, the beach resort on the island's southernmost tip. Kenting has emerged as THE top beach on the island. True, during winter it's about the only place in Taiwan to enjoy a little beach culture, but during the long, lazy days of summer, Kenting isn't such a dream destination that I'd be willing to make the long journey more than once a year.

Recent years have seen an upsurge in quality accomodations, with a strong emphasis on business amenities and services, and the Miramar Garden is the latest entry. Unlike many Japanese-influenced hotels, the Miramar Garden puts considerable effort and expense in to creating an airy, open feeling with high ceilings. Rooms come with the latest amenities, including satellite TV, 32-inch LCD TVs and individual air conditioning thermo-control.

In Peikuan, one can find more than 200 indigenous species of crabs. Remarkably, that is almost one-fifth all crab species in the world. Thus, in 1999, the Peikuan Crabs Museum was built to showcase Taiwan's unique natural heritage.

This 250-ping museum is the only one in the world dedicated to the crab, and both oceanographers and school children along with their parents swarm in during the weekends and holidays. Its rich collection surprises every visitor, from the petite crabs inhabiting high elevation mountain areas to the heat-resistant crabs that survive 60 degree Celsius temperature deep in the ocean.

is where you will find designer boutiques with famous brand-name clothing, shoes, accessories and so on. There is a DFS (Duty Free Shop) that sells famous labels. It also sells tax-free perfumes, tobaccos, and alcoholic beverages. All of these have to be picked up at the airport. Several souvenir shops offering curios and handicrafts are also located here.

You'll find plenty of restaurants competing with each other to serve the best delicacies from Hunan, Yunnan, Xinjiang, Fujian and every province in between. It's also well worth asking local residents where to find the best Taiwanese eateries, of which there are many.

Off the side of the entrance are two tennis court that are used for fun.

On the other side of the entrance is the basketball court also used for fun.
